VC’s Address at the First Years Orientation Ceremony

In her speech the Vice-Chancellor congratulated the students for their good performance in KSCE and welcomed them to Machakos University.
The Vice-Chancellor reminded the students that University life will accord them a lot of freedom, but they should remember that there are consequences that come with it. She urged the students to remain focused, set their goals right, and work towards achieving their goals.
The Vice-Chancellor assured the students that the University was doing its best to ensure that its students and staff are safe but reminded the students that they should observe the security guidelines given to them by the County security agencies and always be on high alert over security matters
The Vice-Chancellor urged the students to embrace dialogue whenever they had issues to be addressed.
