Kenya Universities Sports Federation (KUSF) National Women Championships
At Machakos University, we understand the importance of a balanced lifestyle, which is why we prioritize investing in our students’ sports activities. Not only does this contribute to their happiness and relaxation, but it also enhances their overall physical and mental well-being.
Our commitment to nurturing both academic and athletic excellence was recently showcased at the 13th Edition of the Kenya Universities Sports Federation (KUSF) National Women Championships held at Egerton University and Kabarak University from March 8th to 10th, 2024.
We proudly fielded three teams – Karate, Handball, and Netball – with remarkable achievements. The Karate team clinched 2 Silver medals, while the Handball team reached the quarterfinals and the Netball team showcased their prowess in the preliminary stage, making us proud. Additionally, in the Kenya Netball Federation Tournament held on March 9th, 2024, our Men’s Netball team secured the 2nd position nationwide out of 7 participating teams, demonstrating their exceptional skill and dedication. Meanwhile, our Rugby team faced off against the Kenya Police at JKUAT, earning themselves a spot in the playoffs. We’re thrilled to announce that the Machakos University Rugby team will be competing against the Makueni rugby team on March 16th, 2024, at the Machakos Boys’ School grounds. These achievements underscore our commitment to fostering a holistic educational experience where our students flourish not only academically but also athletically.
