National Bank Pays a Courtesy Call to the Vice-Chancellor

On Friday, 5th July 2024, Machakos University had the honor of hosting a delegation from the National Bank, led by the Managing Director, Mr. George Odhiambo. The delegation paid a courtesy call to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joyce Agalo, to discuss potential partnership opportunities aimed at enhancing the university’s operations and student experiences.

The meeting, attended by members of the University Management Board, focused on exploring various integration initiatives that could create a seamless operational environment within the university. Prof. Agalo warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the continuous CSR support and partnership that the university has received from the National Bank over the years.

The Vice-Chancellor highlighted the importance of such collaborations in fostering academic excellence and providing students with practical opportunities that bridge the gap between education and industry. She commended the bank for its unwavering commitment to community support and development.

In response, the Managing Director reiterated National Bank’s dedication to supporting education and the community at large. He emphasized the bank’s readiness to engage in programs that would benefit both the university and its students. Among the initiatives discussed were the organization of an Education Day, the provision of internship and attachment opportunities for Machakos University students and other collaborative projects aimed at fostering mutual growth.

The meeting set the stage for a promising and mutually beneficial relationship between Machakos University and National Bank, with both parties looking forward to working together to enhance the educational experiences and career prospects of the university’s students.
