Machakos University Ranked 10th in the Times Higher Education Ranking 2024

In a report released on 9^th October 2024 by the times higher education Machakos university was ranked the 10^th best universities in Kenya in the year 2024. The ranking by the Times Higher Education is done in the core areas of higher education mission which include teaching (the learning environment), research environment (volume, income and reputation), research quality (the outputs of research), industry (knowledge transfer), and international outlook (staff, students and research).

The ranking is done by the use of 18 performance indicators to compare and rank the higher education institutions. Machakos University, which was chartered in 2016 has laid down clear strategies to ensure that it offers quality service to its stakeholders through research, teaching and community service.
