Inauguration of Machakos University Council
The CS, Ministry of Education appointed new members of Council for Machakos University. The appointment was communicated through a Gazette Notice Vol.CXX11-No.197 of 6th November, 2020 and appointment letters dated 20th November, 2020. The appointment is for a period of three (3) years with effect from 4th November, 2020.
Machakos University Council was inaugurated on 18th December 2020 and the members led by the Chairman, Dr. Jamleck Mutugi were sworn into office. The event was attended by all the Senior University Management. The Chairman expressed his gratitude to the Government of Kenya through the Ministry of Education and Cabinet Secretary for the honor and privilege of being appointed to serve the Country in the capacity of Council members of the University.
He congratulated the members for their appointment and thanked them for accepting the responsibility of being Council members of the University. He requested them to use their experience and training to solve the challenges facing the University. He also called for teamwork between the Council and the University Management.
