Welcome to MkSU 3rd Fashion and Cultural Week 2025!
THEME: CELEBRATING OUR CULTURE THROUGH FASHION, DANCE AND CUISINE.
Machakos University will be hosting the 3rd Fashion and Cultural Week, a vibrant celebration of culture, fashion, and talent! This year’s event, themed “Celebrating Our Culture Through Fashion,” aims to showcase the rich diversity of traditions and creativity within our university community.
Join us from 3rd to 4th April 2025 at the university Amphitheatre for two days of dynamic activities, including fashion showcases, cultural performances, and culinary exhibitions.
Key Highlights
Day 1: Fashion Show & Food Festival – Thursday 3rd April 2025
Step into the world of creativity and innovation as students and designers present unique fashion styles that embody both tradition and contemporary trends that include;
- The Vice-Chancellor’s Address
- Avant-Garde Fashion – Experimental and futuristic designs.
- Cocktail Wear – Elegant and stylish evening attire.
- Ethnic Wear – Traditional outfits celebrating diverse cultures.
- Traditional Food Exhibition – A taste of authentic cultural cuisines.
Day 2: Cultural Dance – Friday 4th April 2025
Experience the beauty of cultural diversity through dance, music, and culinary arts. Schedule of activities for the day include;
- Traditional Dance Performances – Including solo acts, and group presentations.
- Performance Judging – Recognizing outstanding cultural expressions.
- Gala Awards & Closing Ceremony – Celebrating talent and participation.
