Department of Design Annual Exhibition and Fashion Show

The event was facilitated by the Chair of Department- Design, Dr. Benta Ogudain collaboration with unit lecturers. The head of Department emphasized the role of design education in nurturing creative talent and shaping the future of the design industry in Kenya. She also applauded the students and commended their attempt at cross-cutting designs from the African continent and from others parts of the world. Dr. Oguda highlighted the pivotal role the Department of Design play in the future of the Competency Based Curriculum as the host for creative pathways.

The Dean School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Dr. Larry Ndivo, expressed his commendation for the students’ dedication and engagement in the exhibition. He emphasized the value of such activities, highlighting their role in preparing students for career opportunities and entrepreneurial endeavors. Additionally, the Dean underscored the significant influence of design on cultural and social landscapes.
