CHANCELLOR’S SCHOLARSHIP FUND BENEFICIARIES

The Chancellor of Machakos University, Dr. James Mworia who is also the group CEO of Centum Ltd, established the Chancellor’s Scholarship Fund in 2016. The Scholarship Fund is meant to assist exemplary undergraduate academic performers to achieve their academic dreams. The Fund applies to undergraduate students from the Schools of Pure & Applied Sciences and Engineering & Technology.

To qualify for the Scholarship, a student; must be a bona fide student of Machakos University and he or she should be a continuing student in second, third, fourth or fifth year of study. The student must have attained an average grade of (A) of 70% or higher in the previous academic year. In addition, the student should not have been involved in any case of indiscipline in the University.

The Scholarship Fund has so far benefitted a total of seventy-eight (78) students from 2017 to 2020.The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Joyce Agalo presiding over the ceremony on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lucy Irungu congratulated the beneficiaries and appealed to other well wishers to come forward and assist needy students at Machakos University.
